Food Project
This Project was on the study of our food system and how crazy it has become; but for my personal food project I researched Blue zones. Blue zones are were people live very long compared to the U.S and other countries. For the visual part of this project I made a sculpture out of clay and a shoe box. This piece shows how the Blue zones are winning the race to healthiness. The green pickle that is on the left represents blue zones and the hamburger on the right represents the American culture and how we are loosing the race in health. I made the track that the clay figures are standing on in Photoshop and the Blue zones picture as well.
Reflection
The reason I chose to make this kind of visual art piece is because I thought it would represent my research. I also thought it would be fun to make since play doe is fun to sculpt with.
I was able to show my ideas across with perspective, color, and space. perspective because when you look at this sculpture you are looking at it from a side angle instead of looking strait down at it. You can also see the perspective of the little figures. Color because the color brings out the light in the sculpture so you can see a lot more in the it. Last is space, since it is a three-dimensional it fills the art piece just right and there is so random space any were. If I was to do this project again, I would keep most of it the same but I would change a little bit to make it better. I would maybe change some of the clay sculptures because they wouldn't stay put and they would break. I would do a better paint job, maybe aply the paint before I put everything in. |
Prehistoric drawing
This Project took place during our studies of the ancient world of art. This drawing shows how they would draw at the time. Some of their pictures were shaded inside the object witch was called the Positive Space like in the picture to the right; and some drawings had color outside of the object called Negative space. they also had different shades in the object and different lines in the picture. This Project was very cool and I learned a lot.

Stop Motion Animation Project
This project was were we got in groups and we picked a topic to do. My group picked a skiing video to do. The people in my group was Anish Wells and Andrew Allsop.
This project was were we took photos and move the characters every photo and when we play them back to make a movie. To do good on this project, my partners and I used as much things on the rubric as possible. We used depth of field, the composition, like the golden rule, the rule of thirds and the diagonal rule; we also used different angles of the camera, we added song and sounds, and we other requirements that I cant think of right now. this project was so fun and I am really happy with our finished product. |

Lighting Project
This project was were we took a strong light and put a white piece of paper on the other side to balance light in the picture in the picture on the right; My friend Dylan posed for us and we took pictures of him, changing the light and the reflecting light to get good pictures. We made hard light and soft light. Hard light is a lot of light on one thing and is very bright and soft light is were the light is very dim. Like a sunset or with very little light in a room. This was fun and very bright. I will never forget the lessons I have learned about lighting form this project.

Depth of Field Project
This project was based on photography. This project was to focus on one object and blur out other objects. In this picture I took a toy dinosaur and put it on a desk and took a picture of the dinosaur with the setting on my camera to Super Macro. Super Macro focuses on one object in front of the picture and blurs out the rest of the picture to give the cool effect. This was a fun project and I learned a lot about cameras.

My Book Cover Project
This project involved another project in Humanities. My cover shows a man holding a zombies head. there are also zombies around him to show the story line. I thank my friend JJ for letting me use his head in my picture. This was a fun project. it helps me understand photography and Photoshop a lot more. Reflection
Q: What makes for a engaging book cover?
A: I think that it must have a theme. Plus it must have an equal amount of space in the cover. It expresses the story and tries to bring the reader into the story. As you can see in my book cover. There is a figure on each side of the cover. Q:How and why is art used a vehicle for communication? A: It expresses a person's mood and tells a story of someone's experiences. It can also tell how people feel about something. Like if a person doesn't like an object they can paint about how that object makes them feel. Q:To what extent does a work of art depend on the viewer's point of view? A: If the work of art is based on a book. Like with my story this book cover is meant to be judged in order to be read. Or when it is in an art gallery for money. |
This is my Animal Teacher Poster Project. This project is were we took a teacher from our school and then took a animal and put the teachers face on the animal. I took my Physics Mr. Heershap and my friend JJ Joyce and put their faces on a gorilla body. I then Put five more pictures in the image. It was a very fun project and I learned a lot. I can't wait to do the other projects that Ms. Roxy has for us.

This is my name project. we went around the school and down to the park and took pictures of letters or an object that looked like a letter that fit into our names. I took a rules sign for my M and my A, then I went to a rail Rhode sign and took the object and that was my X for my name. This project was very fun and I learned a lot about Photoshop.
